Michael is one of the partners leading our commercial and private client team in our Kaiapoi office but also regularly meets with clients in our Christchurch and Greymouth offices.

Prior to joining Corcoran French in 2016, Michael worked at another Christchurch law firm practising in general litigation and insurance law.  Michael was heavily involved in insurance law following the Christchurch earthquakes including regular appearances in the District Court and the High Court as well as appearing in the Court of Appeal.

Michael’s area of practice includes commercial law and business law, rural, subdivisions and property law.

Michael is married to Bianca and has a young family.  In his spare time he enjoys playing rugby, hunting, playing golf and spending time with his family.

Michael is a current trustee of the Rata Foundation and previous board member of St Thomas of Canterbury College and Chair of the Ellesmere rugby judiciary.
